Wow! The camp just ended in a breeze. I really hope everyone
had a great time learning and sharpening your skills. I really enjoyed the part
when the seniors are training together with the juniors and I observed that the
juniors are humble and willing to learn.
Juniors, this camp is exceptionally important for preparing
you for the upcoming competitions and I think all of you have done well. Please
ensure that you are familiar with your word lists as they are crucial tools to
victory. After playing with the seniors, I'm sure you have learnt more new
words. Learning is simply not enough, you need to use them and practise.
Seniors, thanks for being such good trainers for the
juniors. I even saw dome of you stopping the timer to guide them and explain
the rationale of some moves. I am so proud of all of you. However, you need more practices among yourselves and
some of you seemed to have slacken a wee bit. Well... that can be undone with
more practices. Work hard with lots of determination, I'm sure you will see fruits of success.
As the Scrabble teacher in-charge, together with Ms Devi and
Ms Farah, we would like to thank all the parents for supporting our programmes
and trainings. The club would not have achieved so much accolades without
support from all of you. Thank you.
Last but not least, millions of thanks to our school leaders
for supporting our activities.
Let's hope our competitions have a good start.
The first one will be on 23rd March, it's the 12TH INTER-SCHOOL NATIONAL
SCRABBLE COMPETITION (individual category)!!!
